The beach

No staff offering drink on the beach ,

1. Private beach and pool are nice, nearby other nice resorts too 2. The exterior of the resort is beautiful - lovely architecture, though starting to look quite rundown in places 3. The beach massage service is fantastic. 4. While in between much more busy locations like Kae Bae and white sand beach, it is a fairly quiet part of the island, which I enjoy.

1. Bathroom is old - there is very little water pressure so the bath cannot be used as a bath, just a shower. Mine was leaking a lot, which meant the bath looked stained. All the taps and some of the electrical fixtures have large visible cracks where they are installed at the wall. 2. While there is room service, my room had no phone and it took 3 days for it to be installed. 3. While staff are generally very helpful (especially Lom) they can be hard to find. E.g. there is a pool bar but no staff there. I would have spent much more money if staff actually came up to me asking if I wanted to order - every time I had to go to the bar to order things. 4. It is named Barali resort + spa, but there is no spa. It is unclear if it is being repaired or simply does not exist. Staff will kindly arrange for in-room massage though. 5. Breakfast was quite average. Selection of western (bread, croissants, spreads, made-to-order scrambled eggs/omelettes/eggs benedict) and eastern (various noodles, rice/porridge dishes) and other (random processed ham and chicken sausage? very artifical juice - coffee machine, not very appealing)

Beach Location. Design

The staff was very friendly and helped with any request! The resort has a beautiful and quiet beach. The little town ist just 10 minutes walk away and also some nice restaurants on the neighbouring beach! The room was clean and quiet big! The breakfast was big and offered many option from western breakfast to Thai breakfast! And they had a nice little bar for the evening with delicious cocktails :) You could lend a canoe for some hours to paddle to the little island close by. Couldn't wish for anything else!

We took a suite with a view on the beach. The price of it is double than w normal bed room and even if the view is very pleasant I don’t think it is worth it. I would not do it again. I would take a normal room. I believe it was was too expensive for what it is.

The staff were amazing with helping out and always polite and friendly. A nice touch with a mosquito net over the bed!

The facilities are a bit old but very well taken care of!

The waiting time for food during lunch/afternoon was too long

The setting, the beach and the staff made for an exceptional vacation spot, especially if you enjoy the water and beach combing. A bit of a walk to the main road of Klong Phrao with restaurants, a few shops, etc but free rides there made it easy. The villa was lovely with the most comfortable bed we’d had in our six weeks away. Oh and the pool was lovely too - warm and clean and well tended.

While the breakfast (overlooking the ocean) was fantastic the dinners weren’t of the same calibre - maybe we just chose the wrong dishes to try. Also the hot water wasn’t very hot on the three cloudier days we experienced. But hardly something to complain about!

Beautiful, quiet, location everything was like a dream.

The food at the restaurant is way overpriced for Thailand and not good at all unfortunately.

The stuff were super helpful. The villa was clean and big enough. Breakfast was limited but good. The bathtub was amazing. The beach was nice when the rain stopped.

Original bathroom but could be a bit difficult to use for elderly

Excellent location right at the beach, nice and quiet garden space, spacious and well-decorated villas, cleaned every day. Beautiful infinity pool. Friendly and helpful staff and reception, good wifi and facilities. Lovely breakfast area overlooking the beach. I appreciated the support of the reception to undo a mistake by the booking agency related to the new year's eve dinner. Client-friendly.

Although breakfast was nice, it could have been even better with a bit more variety of choice.

Everything about the resort is awesome, i booked a premium delux villa, but they upgraded it to beachfront villa....clean room, friendly n helpful staff, nice buffet breakfast...location is good.., everything is at reachable distance...super comfortable bed...the private beach was Very good too...i like the stay a lot...if i return to kohchang, i will surely choose barali again...

If provided with a microwave oven nd some dishes then it will be more awesome...

It is a really nice hotel, we enjoyed the time there a lot (still enjoying as we add one night). The room is really nice and clean, i love the bathroom. The pool and the beach is amazing. The staff is really competent and friendly as well. So all in all it was amazing!

Actually I liked all

Staff are really nice and gentle. Overall surroundings are very humble and peaceful.

First of all, the air conditioning are not working. After they fixed it are fine. During the night, there are cockroach in the room and a little frog in the bathtub. They should clean and recheck the readiness before customer check in.

Great room, garden, beach and pool. Very good breakfast.

Even though we booked a family room with 3 beds, we would have had to pay for a sheet for our son. Bad smell in the bathroom, even when we let the air circulation run during the night. Restaurant very expensiv.

The poolvilla was Nice with a good size pool and bungalow. Good sandy beach. Good breakfast.

No Sun at all in the private garden to the pool-villa. Selektion and Price at the restaurant - but plenty other nearby at the beach.
